Star Wars: Reconstructing the Republic
Force Sensitive Bounty Hunter
“We don’t have a word for hero. Being prepared to die for your family and friends, or what you hold dear, is a basic requirement for a Mando, so it’s not worth a separate word. It’s only cowards we had to find a special name for.”
Species: Miraluka (Humanoid)
Height: 1.9 m
Weight: 78 kg
- Blasters: 4
- Survival: 4
- Gather Information: 5
- Force Sense: 3
- Force Alignment:- 3
- Weakness: Unsympathetic 1 (Has a distinct lack of compassion for others)
Appearance: He is almost always in his Mando pattern armor, a mix of red, black and green. Usually armed to the teeth and ready to slice into available systems, he seems wary when in public (due to the shaky standing Mandalorians have in the Republic). Under the armor he still keeps his head cowled due to his lack of eyes, covering his head to just under the eye socket. His beard is silver and flecked with white matching his hair. His body bears the marks of a life wrought with hardship.
Cade barely remembered his parents, let alone why they were on Althir III. He had been orphaned in 3976 BBY as the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders swept over the planets defensive forces, led by Canderous Ordo. Pressed into service with Clan Ordo his innate force sense gave units a distinct edge in several encounters until the Mandalorians were broken at Malachor V in 3960 BBY. During the bulk of the Campaign of the Outer Rim he honed his fighting capabilities but it was not until the push into Republic space that his use of the Force was refined by the instruction of Dorjander Kace. He had been attached to one of three Dreadnaughts assigned to aid Kace’s plan to kidnap Jedi children off of Dantooine and be trained in the Mando’ade. The the ship was recalled from the mission due to the loss of the dreadnaught Parjai, as well as the crew’s belief that the stealing of children was dishonorable. He returned to the main advance of the crusade for the last two years before Revan killed Mand’alor the Ultimate and watched as the Republic destroyed the main fleet with the Mass Shadow Generator.
When the clan’s forces were dispersed he chose to ply his talents as a freelancer. Though the Republic had promised to give training to the now directionless warriors of Mandalore to support themselves outside of the military, those pledges fell unfulfilled as Revan returned at the head of a new Sith fleet. With occasional odd jobs and a brief stint in piracy he avoided notice throughout Revans resurgence. Due primarily to the common distrust of the Mandalorians since the last war and a lack of desire to be herded into refugee camps, he chose the life of a Mercenary. Once Canderous assumes Mand’alor and calls the clans back to Dxun, Cade assists in their attack on Telos IV and the destruction of the Ravager flagship.
(WIP) Having spent most of his life with the Neo-Crusaders, his racial heritage played little into the development of his identity. The only real code he lived by was the Resol’nare or Six Actions -
- Wearing armor
- Speaking Mando’a
- Defending himself and family
- Raising family as Mando’ade
- Contributing to the Clan welfare
- Rallying to Mand’alors call
It is due to the Resol’nare that he found himself traveling to Dantooine. Perhaps this inquiry would lead to the aid of the clans and the Republic would make good on several promises yet to be paid.
